Ok.......... How can I get one!

I read the thread through to page 17 and then skipped to the last page, so if someone's already making these then ignore me.

My day gig is in manufacturing (www.mobilesolutions-usa.com) and if I know there's a market for this I can have my boss write me a program on the CNC. We do everything in machine grade PVC, but once I have templates made I can make it out of aluminum, acrylic, or even go back to wood if you really want it.

What would be a reasonable market price for a finished piece?

Trout-

Just so you know, there was a member that tried to make their own skater dolly before and sell them. I believe he was contacted by P+S to cease and desist because they have a patent on the system. If you do a search on "Skater dolly" you may find the thread.

Questions about the design. Why that exact shape for the base? Are the wheels supposed to be equal distance from the center or offset? And if offset, why?

Detail of new wheel mount

Sorry for the delay in posting this guys, I was out in production in 3 different islands shooting for a tourism promo.

These photos show the details and essential components of the new wheel mount for the Plywood skater version 2.

I took the plywood skater v. 2 with me during my 3 island trips and I realized I ended up using it more than my DIY track dolly. The moves are smoother even in wide shots, but it was really indispensable in close up shots for food.

For your next version you might abandon plywood for delrin. A quick trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond for a couple of plastic cutting boards and you would have something less apt to break or warp.

Looks top notch...

Maybe not rigid enough? I know plastic cutting boards flex, don't they?

Bai!

I just missed you due to timing. We were staying in the same hotel in Dumaguete and I saw your name on the lobby wall. Darn, if I just knew you'd brought the skater, I would've made sure to see it. I was shooting stills for a travel publication. Oh well, a trip to Bohol should fix all that. Great piece of work!

Hi Dahon man!

Its great to know a dvxuser on the same island! haha! I just arived from a 4 day shoot in Bacolod. A commercial for Ayalaland. Extensive use of the skater version 2. The production in Dumaguete was part of the 3 island shoot for the Department of Tourism, used the skater heavily for food shots.

Mabuhay!

Hi! The Skater is Really COOL !!!
So my question is, it is posible that you post the Corel Draw Files?

I can't figure out the Dimensions of the Mainplate(Groundplate) from the Skater.

Thank You!
