Very Very Very good. I can't believe you did this in 12 hours! Its really amazing! How did you get the set and everything set up in such a short time?! Let alone the concept and writing!
It breaks down like this,
The writers get the theme and the prop (a favor, duct tape) at 12 pm and start writing while the others art direct the set. 2 Hours later, the script is finished, the director makes changes, and the shoot begins. We keep an average of 3 takes per shot. We shoot and shoot until about 7pm a well as write the dialogue and plan out the fake movie at the credits.. Meanwhile during the day, our producer has captured tape number 1 so we can start editing the first part of the footage. Once we have something cut, the rest of the footage arrives and we can finish. The film has to be under 4 minutes and our first cut was 7. Someone comes in and starts to trim the main movie while another starts to edit the fake movie during the credits. 9:30/10pm. Trims are still being made and sweetening is happening. The person trimming is also fixing the sound and applying sound design. Credits are handled in After Effects so a quicktime is made of the fake movie and given to another person who has to make sure every name involved is in the credits otherwise we are disqualified. The credits get to the editor and the cut is still too long. A beautiful shot that last 11 seconds in cut and the movie hit 3:59. 11:20pm. We pump out a quicktime and burn a disc in DVD studio pro. 11:35pm. Two people rush to the drop point which is 8 minutes away with lights and we make it and turn in our film at 11:47pm 13 minutes early. Fewfta!
