music video HVX + M2 "Aharon - Dreamer"

Really great visuals!
But I second the jumpcuts, if you don´t edit out enough time between the cuts, it looks kind of glitchy, like a tape error...
That said, all fine...

one of the things I would have done different was abandon the 28mm. limit yourself to a 85mm, and if you need a wide go with a 50mm.

The 28mm and 50mm exagerate the "oh look a bare wall" thing. longer lenses, compress space and show off more of your Set. plus in a video liek this you want the imtimate feel that a long lens provides. you did this for the most part, but some shots like, the girl on the bed, and the guy getting out of the car.... WAY to wide for too long.

Looks good, especially with almost all available light.

Third the jump cuts.

And I think the wide shots would be OK if you were on them for a shorter time and cut to a longer lens but in the same position.

Your first shot looks like a miniature set. Weird

gotcha. how can you tell my focal lengths? BTW the long shot of the car/house at the beginning was a 50mm. 28mm was used but not there. CU of girl on bed when she fades away was the 28mm. used the 85mm a lot and even the 135mm. i agree on the lack of tighter shots throughout. it came down to a time thing and we were losing light so we had to abandon some of the shots we wanted.

thanks for the feedback everyone.

Dude,

Jump cuts are fine. Perfectly legal. People are getting bugged out by them though. Maybe try fade-cuts. You do it at the end on the last shot.

You did an awesome job on it.
