Self-Improvement, a short film

This is a film my friend made that he just posted online.
I really like the movie and I wanted to show it off.

i loved the shot where its near the end, and its showed tyhe picture then it trucked (is that right?) arcross to him snipping off hairs lol

this was dvx?

Pretty good. But you should have downed the detail level, it looked to much like digital. maybe if you added the magic bullet fade to it it would soften those edges abit. But stil very good. maybe add some vignetting, I dont know, Im just wierd when it comes to having stuff look liek film. It was still very well done, I laughed when I saw the glue in the cabnet.

I understand the bias, but I don't think he was going for the film look. After all, he shot it in 30p. ;)

Glad you like the film. When he smiles at the end it makes me laugh every time.

Haha. For being such a simple movie it's really fun. :)

Actually it might be the hvx. The Project page for the movie doesn't list the camera they used so I don't know.

I liked it a bunch...I started to lose it a bit when the moustache was being glued on...seemed to be moving slow. Then, right when I was thinking that, you moved the pace up.

Nice shots...I like the FX early on. Good compositing.

I enjoyed that. It does look very digital but i think it goes well with the mirror it seems like there is a lot going on in the picture
