Take-out the Trash!

This past week Isara.org has been teaching students in Thailand how to keep their country clean. (Trash is EVERYWHERE!)

I know it's not film related but, for those interested, here are some behind-the-scenes pics I took last week. :)

More below...

First Day:

After a short briefing the four groups started designing their signs.

Afterwards everyone got right to work.

Two hours later the trash bags were picked-up and we celebrated a job well done.

For some reason, I expected the last frame of the sequence to be a shot of the signs scattered in the foreground and the volunteers walking away. :cheesy:

Good job!

Damn! I have enough time cleaning up my own room, nevermind a country.

You never cease to inspire. Well done.

Nice!

The next project should be:

Teach the japanese to NOT use plastic bags :D Man, I am living in a country made of plastic bags...

Jim - Thanks, but I'm the same way. My room is a wreck. But it sure helps when you've got 400 hands to do the work for you. lol

Nomis - Really? Same here. They even drink out of plastic bags.

Terry - End the Imperialistic Oppression? Never! Everybody needs a hobby. lol

Ugafan - ha! lol Although we do have a "Clean and Paint the Foreigner's House" project next month.

Awesome !

Now if you can just come to Brooklyn and teach the folks around here the same thing.

Of all the parks Frederick Law Olmsted designed which include Central Park, parks in Detroit, Chicago, and eslewhere, Prospect Park which is right outside our doorstep in Brooklyn is considered to be his masterpiece.

We spend a lot of time there with the dogs, but there are always Dorito bags and such around, at least in certain parts. Shame cuz it's really beautiful.

So come help us please

Just got back from another Isara trash pick-up. This time the trash gloves didn't fit very well but that didn't seem to matter. The kids did a great job and, within one hour, had their whole school and village cleaned-up.

Fifth Day:
