Let me know what you think.

PS: i'm looking to put some lighting flashes ( not a bolt of lightning ) and rain on the first scene of the movie. I was just wondering how its done and if there are plugins that can just apply those effecs simpy by applying the effect or drag and drop ? or a method on how to do it in AE or another NLE, i want to apply it to the start of the movie.
- Thanks Marty.

did you guys install the divx codec ? other have been bale to watch it ? here some pics before and after applying magic bullet night scene filter

I think the pace of this could be alot quicker. You stayed on the shot of him in bed for over a minute. Maybe if you were panning by other objects in the room and finally landed on his face for when he hears a noise and wakes up. This way we could find out alittle bit about the guy by photos that he might have on his nightstand and uniformes that he might have to wear for a job?, something to continue to give us new information.

I don't know if those are the actual sounds that you are planning on using, but if i heard what he heard, I wouldn't be going down to the basement to see what it is. I would be calling the cops and getting the hell out of there and if i did go down there I would have a bat or sometype of weapon to protect myself.

The doll didn't scare me. It might if it turned it's head to watch him pass.

On a positive note. I thought it looked cool in the basement although the smoke made it feel like a nightmare or dream, rather than reality. That would actually make more sense to me as to why he would go down there and not be frightened. If it was supposed to be relity, I think he would be worried that there was a fire with all of that smoke.

I hope these notes are helpful for you. Good luck on making your film.

hey joe thanks for your opinions mate, all critisism is welcome, the movie isnt finished ( no script i just make new scenes as i go - bad way to do it i know ) but once it is i will send you a link cheers. - marty.

I agree with Joe.

I like what I'm seeing but the editing could be a lot tighter. Cut it down and try to only show us shots for a second or two. After that the same shot (when there's nothing going on) grows tiring.

Still, I like some of your shots.

I would light it a little brighter as well. You can always darken it in post.

Looking good so far though. Keep it up!

Mike
