"On The Lot" tonight

jason did have the best short. kenny's was the best he's probably ever done. the red head woman had a decent one but the ending wasn't too good. i don't remember the other ones.

what did you guys think about Mateen's horror/drama? i thought an argument wa about to erupt on stage when he realized it didn't go over well.

i'm no police officer, but it seemed like the cops may have slightly overeacted to what seemed like a minor traffic violation.

I wish Wes Craven was judge tonight instead of being a little out of place a few weeks ago. His critique is worth taking seriously, but tonight all I saw were things that played just Eli Roth's work, or along the lines of other cookie-cutter horror. Wes Craven is a legacy, it's a shame.

I've been over this show for a while now... I've got about 4 on the DVR that I haven't even watched yet. I probably won't even bother to...

The funny thing is, they still have to give one of the filmmakers the million dollar "film deal."

I think it's some kind of marketing stunt by Ford (an On the Lot Sponsor)
http://www.fordvehicles.com/boredomhurts/index.asp
They guy is part of some viral marketing campaign for them.

EDIT: He's an actor playing character, namely: a filmmaker who's working for Ford in a contest to give away Ford Escapes to people that send them videos of going to outrageous lengths to "escape" boredom.

Don't click around on the above link to much ... it will make you feel dirty.

I already knew ahead of time that Jason would make the best horror short, and I was not dissapointed. Kenny's short was his most "normal" one to date, but it lacked any tension that I think is needed in a horror...one moment its "let's have sex in the woods" right to BOOM...."oh crap, that guy is eating my leg!"

And what is up with some of the directors trying to incorporate humor in horror?? Enough already! Let's get off this humor wave they have been riding since the first episode.
