Music Video shot on HVX

Great job. Professional and polished in every way. You have a lot to be proud of.

Do you want to share and tech details? (lighting, lenses, etc.?)

Oynk, thanks dude. Yeah i'd love to share. It was a rented HVX w P+S Technik adapter, zeiss primes and my DP had a lighting truck which was cool. The interior band shots were done at the District Lounge in Orange, CA. The outdoor/beach/pier stuff was shot in the Newport/Balboa Peninsula. We did some things guerilla, some permits were pulled. Jeff is a solo artist but I asked some friends to be in the video with him. This song was supposed to be the iTunes download of the week in May, then I heard June... you know how that goes.

first i thought it was shot using the stock hvx lenses, maybe its bcuz the ziess lense is so clean, overall very impressive job. You have good looking actors, especially the girl, shes cute! the colors are nice, i would like to see before and after stills.

two days: one to shoot the kids, the other to shoot jeff. I wonder if polished is a good thing...? maybe i should have thrown some blood or guns in there.

hehe.. polished is good.. polished is great for this type of music:)
It looked great.. was that the m2 adapter? If it was, then that was the best performance I've seen of that adapter yet..

the whole video reminded me a lot of the intro to Dawson's Creek..

Good job!
Only the singer seems tottaly of most of the time, maybe its just his way of moving his mouth, maybe its just that I´m tired and should go to bed;o)

Thanks. i'm not sure of the settings in camera because i just trusted my DP to hook it up. It was my first time with the HVX, so i don't remember. I think he just did basic stuff on scene file #5; dropped the master ped and detail levels a little. Now that i look back, i wasn't concerned on getting lots of shallow DOF shots. I know with adapters we all want that look. But more than that I just wanted to convey a fun summer time. Jeff is a mellow guy so i brought in kids to jump around and convey an energy that I remember from summer.

Next project- i'm trying to decide between The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Incubus. jk. It's a band called Dead Mans Dollar. They're a hardcore band from Dana Point, CA. They're young (17-25), and I love that they told me their influences are Slayer and Kansas. I've never heard such a cool juxtaposition.

Yeah Nomadic we should work on something. He  Haw. Wanna see the new video. I just watched the Which Way Is Home video again. It's great. awesome song too. They should be signed. Shaeffer too.

Anybody have comments on the edit?
