Super clear compression settings for Youtube/Flash

i just tried your method and youtube still butchers it ....wtf?

...ok so these r the settings:

I use sorenson squeeze with the .flv setting of 1mbps, The codec to be used is "Sorenson Spark Pro" 1-Pass CBR, Frame size is 320 x 240

Thats pretty much it guys, I hope this helps

this is here is an .avi from premiree encoded in FLash Video software not sorenson

as u can see it takes forever to load
the file size that i got out of FLASH video encoder is 34megs


the file size that i got in the video above that i used sorenson for was 70megs

so how does that work

a bigger file takes less to do its thing and a smaller file takes longer?

i do belive that i had the bitrate cranked on the sorenson and it sill was crapy
 
Saturnin, the file doesn't seem to stream like other Youtube videos but the quality is really great. Would you mind sharing the exact settings you used (also size and framerate of input video) ? Did you notice if the video was immediately available after uploading it?
It seems that if just one parameter doesn't conform to Youtube standards the whole thing is reencoded...
 
its wierd this is my dillema...lol

i'm outputing form premiere as raw .avi

now... i take it thorugh sorrenson squeeze ..doesnt matter what i choose ..i still get shitty quality from youtube..

but.. i got this other program FLASH Video studio 1.5 and when i take it thorugh that... it comes out with a 45meg file but youtube gets confused, yet it still makes it super good quality..

so i'm not sure what's going on here. Sorenson doesnt like it and Flash works but its huge

settings are standard i dont touch anything except the filename

yah it took the regualr time for the video to get enabled
 
Ah! I thought you meant Adobe's Flash Video Encoder.

I have the same problem. No matter what I get utter shite. I have tried everything. Flash: AE/Squeeze/AdobeFVE, Spark/SparkPro/OnVP6, 1passVBR/2passVBR/CBR, 25/30fps, 22k/44k/no audio....crap, crap, crap. H.264 .mov? .mp4? Same deal >_<

It's SO frustrating. People are getting better quality from videos recorded on cellphones than I am from my XH-A1! Arghhh.
 
yah i know its wierd... if you get a chance you shoudl try flash video studio...u'll get the results.... but load times...
 
I've been dealing with youtube compression woes all weekend. I've tried forever to get some decent compression on this http://youtube.com/watch?v=I2e3yuDSYUc
trailer but have had no success at all. Its like a thirty second trailer so its ridiculous that it has to be compressed but the raw is about 130 megs. I think the reason I am having so much trouble is that there is tons of motion in the trailer. :cry:
