i appreciate the raw feel... the documentary type feel... making it B&W was a good idea... the transition effects are pretty cool... the oven "baking cakes" shot was cool... i didn't like the vfx of whatever footage you had in that cube monument thing... it had to be on sticks... your talent got to come with a wardrobe to help the location pop... and i dunno if the player delays or what... but cut on the beat more often... helps the theatrics... all in all if this is your first one... cool beans man!! good production.

You are not helping this "music" genre die by filming rap videos! Sorry! The video is ok but I have qualms about any musical form not accompanied by real people playing real musical instruments other than a record being played backwards.

ya in o wut u meen, but its a great song, and it was my first video, so i thought rap would be it

also, mindzeye, thanks

Well, your shooting & editing is better than your grammar!

Great job for your first video. The good: I like that rack focus thingy as he's walking down the street. Also like the profile shot thru the handrail. B&W works well for this video.

Agree with the cube comment. Also, watch your headroom: There was a lot of dead space in a few shots. And some audio syncing issues, but that may be the internet stream.

Very cool, now I want to shoot another video. Keep them comin'.

holy monkey... by that I know you don't know much about hiphop music. The beat in itself took probably a long time to make. It's not always sampling. Alot of producers actually play instruments in their own beats. I know this personally. I've made my share of beats and I use synths and guitars (which I've played for 7 years) to help me make it...

I thought the video was good, I love colors though, so I didn't quite get the black & white thing. Nice editing.. overall good:)

Some nice shots but I would've framed some shots with less room over his head. Lots of sync issues, but as was mentioned it might be the streaming.

Hiphop usually isn't my cup of tea, but that song was chill.

The feel you footage gave to the song was great. I especially like the ending sequence shots.

I like it, and I like the song. It's relaxing. You actually gave me some ideas for my future videos. I might have choosen a higher shutter speed but that's personal preference. It's obvious you have the vision and with more videos, you'll become better at executing those ideas.

As for the comment about the rap genre. A lot of producers actually play their own beats and often nowadays, their instruments such as guitars and bass. It's a pointless conversation as every genre will claim the other genre is no good and all that.

I liked that quite a bit, a few things I might work on would be keeping the camera a bit steadier and the momentum in your zooms a little bit more consistant...the shot down the escalator was great though! I wish I had thought of it myself...haha, oh well...

Well unlike most rap songs, i can say that this song didn't totally suck. I felt the video style was pretty neat too, and fit the song well, although there were also a few shots where the guy's face didn't stand out enough, and just blended in with the background. You could have thrown somemore light on his face or something like that...

Very nice man! I am very very surprised by this, which is a good thing! One thing, if you don't already know this, is you should look up the rule of thirds. It will help you tremendously if you take it into consideration more often. Although I do like some of the wider shots it gives a good environmental context.

rule of thirds? hummm....usually id make a thread about it, but ill research :)

well im gunna make an ew thread anysecond anyway lol

What?

What?

positive song takes me back to the early 90s somewhat. favorite shot was the subway at the end and the shot between the backs of the 2 buildings with the fire escape.
