Today was go-skate-day but I forgot about it so we only skated one spot and I barely filmed anything but managed to make a nice little montage of the day's happenings.

Your footage always looks so badass. Could you post your camera settings, and your post color settings?
 
Good stuff, nice colors. Noob question here: what are you using for that flash-frame color burst technique?

I missed Skateboarding Day yesterday, but hopefully will get to go to the park on Sunday. When you are as old and lame as I am, you have to plan everything out in advance.
 
Well I went the artbeats route, I don't know if this is considered legal, I consider it original. I downloaded there free sample with there fotosearch logo at the bottom and brought that into after effects and scalled it up and did a gaussian blur, an extreme one and then sharpened it and messed with the levels and got a nice little film burn. Then in premiere I jsut import that film burn and use the screen key.
 
Love the colors. The flash-frame is nice but gets a little excessive. Other than that you did a great job on the settings. Very clean and smooth.
 
Nice visuals...smooth movements...great look. I dont know if you ever shot with film but flash frames dont happen all that often. Keep it to a small small limit that gets annoying and it takes your mind of the smooth and very sharp visuals! Keep it going. Nice editing...
 
I would love to know your settings as well. I'm so floored, there's nearly No Strobing. Was this 24P or 30P? Was your shutter on? If so, what was it set at?
 
Ok, strobing is caused by 24p regular mode becuase it holds the frame like every 4th frame or what ever, Im shooting 24pA so its 23.976 frames per second, so theres not going to be a cause for strobing. There can be a different kind of strobiness when you shoot at a high shutter speed but thats completely different. Im shooting at 1/48 until the last shot it was at 1/250.

Yeah, that made me laugh too. (Actually it made me cringe)

BTW Mattheson, I tried your "film burn/flash frame" technique in AE. Worked very nicely. I'll have to go into Photoshop and create my own templates, cuz I want to use something like that for future videos & commercials. (I also grabbed something off the internets & applied a blur)
I'm trying to combine the film burn with a quick 1 frame stutter, so far it looks pretty cool.

i watched your website, i really enjoyed the videos you made, it gives a good feeling and it s pretty original compared to the "normal" skate videos
 
everything was really nice - i can only repeat what others have said, at this point.

but what are you using for your export settings and the compression? the quality was really nice, but the video loaded so quickly.

Okey dude, please stop posting in alot of topics if you cannot spell your words right or use correct grammar. And I cannot see any of your videos because your myspace and you website are all way to unorganized. Please also take into consideration you should really try to not be so called "gangsta" especially on a forum, it makes it very difficult to make out what you are trying to say.

ps. you said ecuoperate <----- what the heck does that mean. Seriously take .5 seconds to spell things correctly and not keep telling everyone, yo ddAWg Go tO my ViDs broooooos, wicked **** KilLa Maaan.
