CinePorter™ FAQ

I, for one, am tremendously disappointed. The removable hard drive feature was something in which I was really interested. It seemed that that feature would have allowed for unlimited, inexpensive storage. For in-the-field, on-the-go shooting situations, the Cineporter looked like the ultimate all-in-one solution.

Wish I could get a hold of one of the prototypes.

David, Wow, what can I say? Other then I wish you the best in everything you do. And I commend your ethics for holding off till potential users had their issues resolved.
Thanks for the preview at NAB and I'll be watching to see how I can give you money on my next purchases as a way of saying thanks for all your efforts. You guys deserve our support!

Panasonic already makes an expensive and reliable P2 reader for FW, the PCD20.

(although I somehow expect that you meant to say "inexpensive") :D

Hi Barry

Isn't it about time to remove the sticky from the "Cineporter Group Buying List" for obvious reasons?

Considering the Cineporter status, I'm finding many people (re?)considering the Firestore FS100. I spoke with the head technical contact at Focus Enhancements today in lieu of the change in order to discuss a better level of service *specifically to benefit this forum's members.* He is very knowledgeable, and was quick to help me with a couple questions I had on this unit.

Best of all, he was genuinely thankful to have been made aware of the opportunity to help this forum directly from a customer service standpoint (they haven't been actively present on this forum). Based on my experience in other forums, I find vendors who pro actively address questions (instead of reactively) are the ones which earn the best support from the members.

I was told that they would have a rep on this forum as soon as possible to begin to *pro actively* address questions and concerns which surround this and other Focus products. I think this will help ease concerns and afford members a more direct way to solve issues as they arrise directly with the vendor by way of this forum.

Thanks Shawn.

That would be wonderful

Unfortunately, we all lost a key person in Ben Balser due to a signature line issue.

Too bad.

Sometimes it's a forest and trees question

And sometimes it's just a question of courtesy and professional behavior on the part of the company involved that violated the policy. This is an issue that could be resolved in half a second flat, but refuses to be, even though I've invited the company involved to do so. So -- nothing we can do from our side.
