Now THAT'S what I like to see. Lately, I was worried the Canon thread was getting too slow. Now we have some Nikon people coming over and posting pics. Yes! Lets keep these threads ALIVE.

Diggin' the pic. Nice image...and side light. Has a nice warm feel to it...
I wouldn't have minded a little backlight to make it pop from the black background...but not really all that necessary. This is what I dig about the Nikon image...very filmic looking.

That´s some weird stuff you´re talkin´about. :cheesy:

Just type in the number of pixels e.g. 800x600 and then it´s like this. If the page where you upload the pictures doesn´t change the size automatically then everything should be alright.^^
 
Yeah unfortunately RLM the Nikon thread has been creeping and not a lot of action. I love seeing other peoples images no matter what camera they use! You guys produce some nice images. Keep them coming. I will keep posting in both threads...I mean if that is alright with you Rebels~!

thats sick that your school has that. i believe ours does as well, but we wont get to see it till year two, which is soon!
 
rlm, I think you tend to exaggerate the colors a bit. Be careful with that.:) Maybe the 2nd one is a bit too much.

Nice pictures, though.

Hey PT! Thanks for the input. As a general rule, I like really saturated colors. I just haven't found the right balance between rich colors and too much yet...Which pic do you think this is most evident on so I can re-evaluate? thanks.

PS My dog does the same leg maneuver. I have no idea what it means. Looks like she is posing for PlayPet magazine.
 
I think that first pic is pretty interesting. Is it noisy? Sometimes its hard to tell on my laptop....

I love the colors in the second one though and the natural light!

Yes, the first one is noisy, that came through the post-processing. Would you still like it?
 
Yeah...thats funny because I do. But it just works for that pic. I really do love saturated colors...but every now and again I see a pic with an earthy, gritty gray tone and I love it. I just dont know how to reproduce that.

You ever see Joey Lawrence's work? I absolutely LOVE his eye and his photoshop skills. Absolutely amazing...to me. The pic of his dad in the field holding that thing up in front of the barn type building...well, the gray tones in that pic is amazing...I just don't know how to reproduce that....
