A Day On the Farm

Whelp, on my third trek out with my new Panasonic DVX100B, I'm slowly learning its capabilities.

Here's some footage I took today under a cloudless sky and out in the middle of nowhere. The footage has not undergone any post, but I did use a polarizer filter aswell as a .06 ND filter.

One thing I noticed in my footage recently is that if I pan or move in a relatively fast manner, it gets rather jumpy. Now, I'm not talking about the strobing effect from shooting in 24p... But an actual jumpiness in the movement. Is this because OIS is on?

Hi, nice footage.

What are you using as your editor? I see the jumpiness that you're talking about. It looks like this wasn't authored on a proper timeline. Also, let me know what scene file you were using and how you exported it.

I'm using Sony Vegas 7.0, but I captured with Adobe Premiere 2.0. I think I screwed something up in an export. After recapturing, it looks much better. But now something else is bugging me. At one point in the footage there's a fuzzy black thing in the bottom left corner. I don't see it on the LCD of the camera, but it is clearly there on the video itself. Is it just something that got on the lens or what?
