mixing footage m2 hvx combo

I have a question about mixing footage, between hvx-m2 and just hvx, they both have their advantages, -m2 you have more control over the dof, and you also have more control over the fov, a 25mm lens through the m2 will show a wider fov then the stock hvx lens, then you have you tp lenses for long range extream closeups.

however, you also have light lose, so my thinking is all long shots not needing one of the above advantages, being show on the hvx, and all other shots needing said advantages being shot on the hvx-m2 combo. and mixing them in edit. I know there wioll be color correction issues, and grain issues, which can be delt with in shake. but I'm wondering if anyone has tryed this and come up with good results.

I mixed M2 and bare-HVX footage in the same project, and found color correction and grain differences to be unnoticeable. The noticeable difference was in depth of field, which I matched by adding some mattes and gaussian blur filters to the bare-HVX footage to simulate shallow DOF. Took some work, but I think it matches well.

I do a lot of 2-camera interview shoots....I use the M2HVX for the torso frame and I use the stock HVX for a close-up headshot. Using two cameras for an interview really helps in Post....when the subject is saying "uh, uhmmm, and, uh", I can cut to the other camera and eliminate any un-needed pauses during a response.

I CC in Post to make the stock HVX match the M2HVX....mattes, and blur "slightly" if needed. Works great.

got a link? I'd love to see it,

wouldn't it just look as if the shots were shot in infenity?
It's not online right now.
Not sure exactly what you mean by "shot in infinity."
Like Orangemoon, I only use the blur very slightly as needed to match the
DOF of the M2. Usually works like a charm.
