Congratulations! You should be very proud. That is quite some company you're keeping with the Emmy nod.

Glad to see some NC boys done good. I may be in Denver but I grew up in Lexington. I need some BBQ when you get the chance. It is appreciated.
 
WHoooo!! The Emmy producer for NBC just rang and they want to showcase the MobiJokes during the full blown Daytime Emmy awards in the Kodak THeater on the 15th!

Where do you guys find the time/money to make these.. I know you guys have a crane or something, i saw your home made dolly, but, lights, grip electric equip.. etc...????

I asked the same question a while back. If you click on obin's official site it will take you to his production and vfx company.
 
Time? money? who needs that?!?! LOL

I don't do anything but production, so, we have put our own money into the shorts. It's a way for us to create, without a client telling us what to do, and now they are taking off for us, in more ways then one.

Our next project is a really good dramatic TV series. I hope to start the pilot when we get back from the Emmy's Our writer has a new draft that is really tight. Can't wait to get on it. My brother and I love creating, we live breath eat sleep production.

I am waiting on our RED camera for our thriller feature. and some backing to get it off the ground. it seems the hardest part, finding money for a film.
 
I love that second shot in your fx reel where th building is crumbling in slomotion as the camera tracks right and shakes. You must tell me what you used and how you did that! I've been looking to do a similar thing for personal project!

that shot was aftereffects, lightwave, fusion, and maybe syntheyes for mo-tracking
 
its all real, it's the building our studio is in! the crack in the ground is CG the building falling is CG the paper in the air is CG the dust storm is CG
