four eyed monsters - entire film on youtube

It's a lot less artsy fartsy than I thought it would be. I assumed it would be more along the lines of that self-indulgent junk Joe Swanberg shovels out. But it's actually much more conventional than I thought.

I saw it a while back when it came to a theatre by me. It really wasn't my cup of tea so much either. Their video podcasts on the other hand are fantastic, if only they could make movies like that.

Just watched it. Wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. A bit self-indulgent, which is fine, really. And a bit precious, which is forgivable, in a pinch. Some of the effects went on for too long, and it wasn't nearly as tight as it could be. Still, it held my interest for 71 minuts... which is saying something. The biggest problem as I saw it, was that the effects were sort of there to be seen rather than pushing the story in any meaningful way. And the music was cut in very conventionally, so that was disappointing. Wasn't nearly as sharp and novel as it could be - it felt mostly like a "safe" artsy project of some young hipsters, it wasn't really "felt". I wouldn't watch it again, but I don't feel like I wasted my time, which is saying A LOT these days. Very much YMMV.

...watched it, it was okay...

i think its stupid that the main reason they are getting so much attention is because they used credit cards to shoot there film. Should I feel bad, and give them a chance just because they are in credit card debt? Using credit cards is such a DUMB way to make a film. ahhhhh.
