How to mix 16:9 and 4:3

I have footage some was shot in 4:3 and other in 16:9. In vegas I know there is a pan and crop tool where I could crop a 16:9 image to a 4:3 frame. Is there any way to do that in Avid Media Composer? If not what is the best way to hand;e that? Thanks for any help!

In the effects bin there's a Reformat section. Many options depending on your preference.

Thanks for that. Actually I was looking around for an answer to that too.

Another question, after applying the reformat 16:9 effect to a clip, I exported it and watched it full screen. Aspect ratio is correct but it doesnt fill up the screen horizontally unlike many other clips I've seen from these forums. Any idea how do I achieve that?
