New short film (HVX + M2 + Nikon + Spare time)

This was shot on Thursday, and edited over the weekend. It turned out pretty good considering we only spent about 8 hours total on it. Only 2 for shooting.

We could have done some stuff better, and I haven't gotten the M2 exactly right yet, but it's not so bad for a first "real" test with the thing. There's some vignetting, and some edge issues, because something got out of whack when we changed setups, but like I said, not so bad.

This movie is about two guys who go out to meditate, but one is a total jerk and screws it all up. There's some inappropriate content, and harsh language, so don't watch it at work, or at the dinner table with the family or anything. :)

Here's some grabs:

And here's the link: The Universe Will Be With You Shortly...
I hope you all enjoy it!

your wide shots looked out of focus as did your long shot of the guy at the end running toward the camera. it was in focus the closer he got to the camera.

This one I did on purpose, because I don't have any follow focus stuff, and I suck at racking at the moment. As for the wide shots, don't know what to tell you. None of it seemed particularly out of focus to me, but as I said, we didn't spend very long making it, so things like that are bound to happen. Lesson learned. :)

on the wide shots it was only one or two if i remember correct. not the closeups where they're talking to each other. overall nothing major or anything the nonfilmaker would be looking for though.

Yeah, I just watched it again and noticed that the opening shot is focused on the stream, and slightly off when it gets to the guys.

It's hard as hell to do these things right when it's just me working on it. :(
