Anyone know any cheap cases for a HVX and lenses with foam padding (preferrably Pelican)? My budget is only $300-350. Can I get reliable cases for my equipment under this price range? Thanks for everyones input in advance.

I went for the abelcine .... I felt the pelican 1600 was too tight on the camera. So I bought a empty 1610 and switched the foam cutout to it ..... perfect fit ... room for a lid organizer ... and wheels to boot. They should offer the foam in the 1610 too ... IMO.

Its not a Pelican but after using one for years I switched and bought a 2700i Stormcase for my HVX. The latches are way more user friendly and the handle has a nice rubber cover. Paid $133 out the door. Padded dividers available.(I used the pluck foam.) I'm glad I switched.

I just had a custom case made for my HVX200 at Upstate Case Manufacturing here in Utica New York...It is an ATA Style case with a carry handle on the top and a twist lock latch on the front. The camera is securely held in place by custom cut rigid foam, and there is an accessory area too that is separated from the camera storage by a divider.. I really like the job they did and it only cost me $195. The owners name is Bill, and he is really easy to work with.

this is the one I decided to go with. Won't fit under an airplane seat but should have more than enough shock resistance and room for accessories. From my measurements its about the width and length of a pillow.

$144 and dvxuser discount thru Shawn at fullcompass
