I think i'm gonna go crazy:zombie_smiley: this happens even going mp4. could it be that vegas
is getting to a point in my timeline that it just dosn't like? I've tried removing effects
and such as well... nothin' works?

I use Vegas 6. The h.264 codec in a .mov container has never worked. The .mp4 with a h.264 codec works well for me. I prefer, however, to get the QT faststart bit set, so now I render a large Sorenson 3 .mov out of vegas and re-encode using QTPro. It's slow but yields nice quality.

You are more than right. I think it all started with QT7.1 I believe. 7.0 and lower, it renders fine. I personally used mp4 this go around. I did put in my time trying to work out something as a .mov file, but just didn't happen.

And I had other problems, but finally got it!
