Please check out our new demo reel! We're a new film production company in Grand Rapids, Michigan, consisting of myself and my amazing DP, Chad Terpstra. Some of the footage is from a JVC-HD100, but we have some HVX200 footage mixed in.

The demo reel is the first link on the homepage:

Thanks for looking!

Lovely work. Watched it twice, and feel inspired from it, which is always a good thing...

Is the music Sigur Ros? Great editing tied into the crescendo.

everybody and their mother

It seems like everybody and their mother uses that term. But yes, there seem to be a few with Sigur Ros (but that's because they're so damn good!)

The reel was really good, lots of low-key lighting which I'm a fan of and a good variety of shots.

Try something by the band Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky if you get heckled for using Sigur Ros.

Thanks for the kind responses.
The detective guy/lemonade movie can be seen in our "projects" page, which is called A.R.T.I.F.A.C.T. (http://www.cineverapictures.com/projects/artifact.html). It was our submission for a 24 hour film festival.
We're using the Brevis adapter, and it's been awesome so far. I'm sure nothing compared to the P+S, but it still works really good. We're pretty happy with what it can do. Thanks again for watching our stuff.

Beautiful lighting and nicely edited.

The only thing I found distracting was having the song's lyrics alongside the muted conversation. I would have preferred far less or even no conversation between the couple, it seemed like a scene that doesn't need many words.

The best HVX reel yet. Great lighting. Closest thing to film I've seen. The secret to acheiving the film look is in the dramatic lighting and slow, beautiful camera movement. And in the editing and post. I love it!
