S C H I T T E K A T T E R a Taylor Bryson Film

This looks very intriguing. I am anxious for the scene with the gross eye.....I agree with Amy...ewwww.

This is looking great, guys! I like the fact you are releasing widescreen. Really works out well when you've got more than a couple of actors interacting with each other. Looking forward to it.

Looks great man.
Haha thanks man. I really owe my friend who let me barrow his 35mm adaptor while mine was being fixed.

Hey I think that guys head is stuck to the ground... man I want some pancakes...
Haha strawberry and chocolate syrup ... and now pancake syrup

Yeah those are some great looking stills.
I'm excited about this one.
Thanks. I just have to get 4 or so trouble shots to match those guys. It will be a shame to have to do something stylized to the posted shots that work pretty much in camera to get them to match the few bad seeds because I like the unforced look of these.

looks like some solid work with that adapter, great job.
Thanks. I tried to use it to help tell the story as much as possible. When we got kicked off the pier by homeland security and had to finish on the concrete foundation of a house somewhere else, the adaptor helped us hide the fact that we switched locations.

Great stills. Nice CC work, too. The colors are very intense without being oversaturated. And I can't wait to see what leads up to that last still. Again, I say, "Ewwww"
Thanks again. Most of that is in camera. Just some matching and added contrast in post. I have a friend that shoots with everything flat including the master ped at 0 (blech) I won't do that again. So right out of the camera that is the principle difference in what is shown here - low contrast raw.

Taylor, these grabs look incredible!!! Wow!

I can't believe that you had to work against that white wall in the sun with an actor in a white shirt! I can't do that!!!

And I love the shots with the guy in front of the water.

Great work. I can't wait to see the flick!!!

Thanks that means a lot coming from you ... what is the problem with the sun and wall and white shirt?

I think you mean you would worry about them blowing out?

There is a lot of light bouncing around where we shot. I just tried to expose for the actors face with a tiny bit of zebra in the sky or water or wall.

Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. (I know I just said that) I hope it is half as effective as your Horrorfest entry.

Thanks for the interest everyone

Woo Hoo!

FCP 6.0 (STUDIO 2) arrives a my door sometime today. Can't wait to try COLOR!

Timing couldn't be better.

Sorry I don't have more grabs / BTS to post, but I am excited about my new tool / toy!

wow we got some dvxuser fest vets up in this project, I can't wait to see this one :).

new FCP eh? tell us how ya like it!

*sigh* I need a mac now...

New software Mr. B?

I'm sure you've already checked the boards for opinions regarding stabilty.

If not, I'm not sure I would play with a major update so close to the contest deadlne...

Seems to be playing with fire in MHO.

Hey ERIK/TEXTURE!

Erik is cleaning up some of our location sound. He is my hero.

I am brave. On the one hand Apple is notorious for buggy first releases. On the other hand they seemed to have done a lot of research on the updates. Also FCP is no that different in 6 I don't think. We will see.

And desperate to make some shots match which I'll have to push pretty far. So I need the new Color app.

Worst case scenario I will just reinstall FCP5 if I have to.

(drum roll / cue the reality show intensity music as I install new NLE mid project, a week before deadline ... will the project survive? ... stay tuned) :)

Bonne chance mon ami de la New Orleans ! Yes, I AM cleaning up the audio for Taylor.

Too many curse words! I'm deleting them ALL!!! :D

Yeah my friend is cool. His stuff is like, on TV and stuff.

You New Yorkers sound stingy :)

But what do I know. Apparently I cannot spell "borrow"

I don't know if he has ever done any series. The stuff I know that he's done are movies that show on TV, like on cable networks and stuff like Lifetime or Sci Fi.

Locked my cut today. Or so I thought :) Showed it to a friend. Now I gotta few tweaks to do before the composers go to work tomorrow.

Hey thanks Aram and Rebecca for the kudos.

Rebecca too bad about Berlin for now. I wish you guys could still enter something.

Aram, looking forward to your multiple entries

Yeah, that was a sad day when it was cancelled, but I hope to see it get made in the future.

Just checked out the grabs. Really nice, man! :) very crisp and proffesional looking. Reminds me of C.S.I.

Great stuff!

*WHIP!!* "back to work zenon!"

Haha thanks.

I definately had some TV cop show influences for this. Not CSI though. Never got into that one. The Sheild and NYPD Blue though. Love me some Sipowicz.

The grabs look great. Can't wait for this one. Glad you're happy with yor cut.
As happy as possible :)

I think I have everything I need from other folks.

- Cleaned up location Audio and Matched ADR from Erik (Texture)
- Score from Herman Witkam and Sid Barnhoorn.

Man those three worked their butts off.

I feel bad for Herman and Sid because they did wall to wall scoring (as per my request). The music was great, but since it is such an actor driven "less is more" kind of piece we wound up simplifying and cutting back a great deal.

They were really patient and supportive of me feeling my way through this post process. Real pro's those guys.

Erik has really had his work cut out for him sweetening all the audio too. And yet he still went the extra mile and even tried some "experiments" so I would have choices.

Wow.

Thanks guys
