would you mind telling me the setting for making your MOV upload file? Im having trouble using QuickTime Pro to compress video for my website. I get good video using the H264 codec, but the audio sucks.

hey downsouth, thnks for the praises dude!

I used to use QT Pro to compress for internet viewing, but I always render directly out of FCP using Compressor....it looks better!
But when I used QT Pro:
options-
1.export using H264
2.current frame rate
3.key frames 150
4.frame reordering 'on'
5.quality 'high'
6.restrict to 800 kbits/sec
7.optimized for 'download'

filters- adjustments:
1.Brightness -6
2.Contrast +2
(these can vary depending on context of video)

size- (for DV)
500 x 375

audio-
1.AAC
2.Stereo
3.Rate-32kHz
show advanced settings
1.quality- 'faster'
2.constant bit rate
3.target-96

fast internet streaming 'off'

RENDER!!!

Hi! I read this forum for several months, dreaming of the wonderfull DVX100BE... And since two weeks i'm an happy french user of it!!! So i'll give you my first music video from my band - 29th September, post-core - grind band from Nantes (France), which is very short, and made in 15 minutes during repetition. Edited with Adobe Premiere pro and CC with After Effects. If you don't like noisy music please turn the sound off ! Tell me what you think of my first try !! Looks great to me.
Ive been pondering getting the DVX or the Canon A1. Seeing flicks made with the DVX impresses me to no end. I may just get the DVX instead of the A1. Do I really need HD ? Probably not.

Im thinking of buying a used DVX from one of our members in this group. It should take me a couple of years to catch up with you guys anyway. haha
