redrock micro35 testshoot HVX200

the footage is maybe a little soft, the camera setup was detail level was -7,
using a 85mm nikon lens.
(may it needs some unsharp masking in post..)
some colorcorection in fcp

I think it looks great, alot of people have been saying that 35 adapter footage looks too soft. I love the slight softness of the adapter, in fact I also turn down the detail to -7 to get rid of the enhanced edges and video look. Keep shooting!-rock-Adam

its because you can do the detailing much better in post (like unsharp masking) but if you did it once you never can remove it...

i dunno. its definitely sexy looking but IMO, i think if your lens adapter (or your knowledge of it) can only produce "soft" the device is a nonstarter. ive been looking at 35 adapters and so far, i could live with the brevis if i HAD to, but the sgpro kicks the snot out of all of them. if he could get shipments out more than every 6 to 8 weeks, hed have a killer on his hands!

so use the P+S mini or pro35,
it's of course the much better tool..
(but around 10times expencive...)

but i think, the main problem with all this adapters
and using DV or DVlike cameras (as the HVX200)
is that there is no real viewfinder to see the focus....
