My first footage shot with dvx.. A 50 second action short with vfx.

I shot this one day last month just to test out the dvx and to see what I could do with AE. Sorry for the crap that is youtube but the quatlity isn't to bad. Mainly this was just for practice but I will upload 2 other versions soon super 8 version along witht the orignal clip no vfx or cc. I used Avid, Ae, dvx100b, sorenson, and sonic fire pro for the music.

Yeah I know about the credits it was kind of on purpose for a joke how it's longer than the acutal footage lol. Didn't have time to fix it before I uploaded it.

I'm uploading super 8 version now along with the original with no cc or vfx.

yeah, i thought it looked pretty good. really loved the blood splat on the dumpster. not a big fan of the sound fx though. sounds more like a cap gun. also, i really think the colors in the non CC version popped more.
 
i didnt like the dissolves in the editing. i think there is a time and a place for them and that wasnt it. other than that i think you did a good job on the vfx.
 
Most of the blood I used was from action movie essentials. Some of it I creadet using melting gold effect in AE. I agree with the dissolves just didn't work at all with it. Also wasn't to happy with the cc but it was just practice but good practice indeed :).
