Its amazing that we got the camera to being with. If DVX100's had been in, we would have bought one. But I was able to "upsell" my friend to buy HVX200. Barry's book didn't come with it, or atleast we haven't figured out how to grab it yet.

Question: while filming 480i on minidv I can't find a way to film slow motion. What other features do we miss out on with HVX minidv? Obviously HD. We're picking up some P2 cards soon, we'd love to find a deal on a used 8G or 4G card since the price is dropping and many people will be switching to 16G. Any leads? For the time being I'm racking up hours on the hours meter. Is there even a "meter" with P2?

You can only have variable frame rates with the 720p modes, and you can't do that on tape. Check ebay, you'll love it when you get a P2 card.

Dang how did I miss out on all that stuff :( I bought my HVX a year ago today and just got the book. I'd be happy w/ the battery & magic bullet
 
Yeah they didn't announce it until several months after I received my camera. I took delivery of it May 7th '06 and the rebate was announced in August, I think?
 
Thanks, I got thinking about it after I made the initial post and went back to fullcompasses website. I found the rebate and filled it out.

LOL, so all the people wondering where their P2 cards are - that's going to be me with Barry's Book? Crap. Well what I'll do is train myself to forget the rebate so it surprises me when it arrives. The battery and magic bullet will send me into shock.
