More information in 25p PAL than 24p NTSC?

This is probably a dump question, but I suppose this is true right? 25p PAL has one more frame per second and 20% more vertical resolution than 24p NTSC.

Yes, sir. NTSC = 720x480, Pal = 720 x 525.

No. The PAL model is using the full 25mbps for those 25 frames. The NTSC model has to embed the 24p in 60i, so there are a full six dummy frames each second, taking up precious bits.
