Restoring master pedestal in Vegas

I need to restore some master pedestal back into a production I'm currently working on and was wondering what was the best way in VEGAS 4.0e to do so.

Depends. If you've already pressed the blacks (master pedestal of -5 or lower), then you probably aren't getting the shadow detail back. You can brighten it, to be sure, but the detail isn't there to be had.

But if you've gone the other way -- MP of +2 or higher, say -- then you can use the Offset in the Color Corrector, or press down the RGB Color Curve, or a couple of other ways, and bring things down.

Thanks for the help. MP in the camera was set at +2, should have mentioned it.
