SmartPower commercials - HVX M2

Good! I'm glad you like them. Put a lot of hard work into them. Any thoughts on tne technical aspect? Anything helps for the future...

The technical stuff looks good as well, nice dolly shot of the couple by the table. Though it would be nice to see the clips without youtube compression.
But again, it looks very proffesional and the acting is convincing as well. Nice work :)

i think they look great. the humor hits and the message is made in a fun, creative, clear fashion, so they're both a success. how do you like the m2?

Thanks. I like it, loses light of course and adds bulk but, if used properly can add an element of professionalism that just cannot be had with the stock lens. I am by no means claiming to be a pro though. I'm just starting to get into this film stuff. This is only the second time I've shot with it but I llike it a lot.

haha... great job.

Just a suggestion... were you shooting in 24p? The acting shots seemed softer than the the motion graphics part and might transition better if you shot interlaced.

Other than I thought your commercials were very creative and generated viewer interest.

Hey that was a really good idea....I am working for a production company in NYC...We deal we advertising somewhat...I have the same setup...HVX+M2...Really good for spec work...Just giving props

mungk, Thank you. Yes, I was shooting 24p and rendered out at 30p for Youtube according to their compression suggestions. I think the softness came from youtube compression but moreso from shooting with the M2. Good observation though and maybe next time I'll try to soften the graphics a tad.

gasper, Thanks for the compliment. I am not in NYC/NJ area whyh do you ask? It's funny you should mention though because I will be going to NYC this summer to intern at an Ad Agency there. Very exciting.

the interiors and people in the shadows looks flat. get some light in there. i like the concept, the old man is great.
