How to shoot a BEER commercial??

Hehe... just spent a month working on a spot for miller.

Neatest trick... the extras with beer had mugs, sprayed with glycerine and
a 1/2" 'head' that was a roughly chopped up disk of polystyrene packing foam
floating on top of a 3/4 filled glass.

I've shot lots of stuff like this, though primarily stills.

We never chill the bottles, it's just one more uncontrollable variable. Our stylists often spray them with corn syrup from a spray bottle for big droplets, and then mist with dulling spray; you can leave the bottle on set all day and it won't change.

For back lighting, we often cut a shape from frosted mylar or acetate (think plastic tracing paper), similar to the bottle shape but slightly smaller, and place it behind the bottle -- really smooths out the reflections nicely.
