My first test with the Magiqcam 2a

Finally I got my Magiqcam and here is some footage of the first test. It was the first time using a rig.
Just walking around a bit...with dirty lens....but I think after practicing you should be able to get quite nice shots with the Magiqcam.

Was the rig comfortable? Have you used other steadcam devices? how does this compare?

i'm thinking of building my own on the cheap.

I only used a handheld stabilizer before. Never used a vest based rig except the Magiqcam, so I unfortunately can't compare it to other systems. The vest is very comfortable. I had the chance to get a used Magiqcam for 800 bucks, that's why I bought it. But I think I will have some fun practising and shooting with it and after a while the results should be quite good... at least for a system of this pricerange.
Good luck for your project. If I wasn't as untalented in building things on my own, I would probably have tried to make my own rig, too.
 
any updates man? Would love to see some new footage now that you have practiced a bit.

the original footage wasnt bad for a first try, but there was quite a bit of bounce and sway.
