norm, sorry to hear it didn't work out on Berlin, but i understand, our dramafest entry had massive setbacks that we couldn't remedy in time.

I'm currently freakin' out about getting all the details and schedule down for next weekend. But we are cast and have a solid crew so i'm pumped. I'll be sure to get some more video updates up soon and of course, a lot of BTS once we start shooting. Hopefully we can snag someone to jocky around my DVX and get some good BTS footy.
 
If I were anywhere near your neck of the woods, I'd love to work the BTS stuff! BTW, saw your slo-motion squib tests ... cool stuff & thanks for sharing!

No worries on BERLIN ... was a tough call indeed, but one I'm glad I made (though I still kick myself daily at the same time). I MAY try & sneek something else in, but only if the right person I've discussed things with comes through or not ... otherwise, I'm not stressing over it & just kind of enjoying the sense of calm I now have, lol.
 
lol, yeah ... how is the other ocean doing?

I guess I could explain those tests a little better, those are actually the old run the tube from the pesticide sprayer blood sprays, but very cheap and very effective. We'll probably use a compressor on the shoot to get accurate PSI through the tube, but hopefully we'll one take it and not have to worry about recreating that scene (not to mention having to buy 2-3-4... who knows how many of the same shirt.)
 
went out and shot some timelapse transition shots tonight with a Nikon D70s, I'm loving this "any camera" rule.
