16GB P2 Cards for 900$

Concerning download times:

I can download 8 gig cards via my laptops pcmcia slot in 4-5 minutes per card. So, probably 8-10 minutes for a 16 gigger.
 
Wouldn't it still be easier and cheaper to just buy a Firestore to use with an HVX rather than lots of p2 cards?
 
Not everybody needs a firestore. Not everyone needs "lots" of p2 cards. People have different workflows. 2 16gig cards per cam is pretty sweet for me for most applications.
 
is it me or does life seem to be getting better everyday for the HVX User?

Im longing for the day I will have Final Cut Studio 6, my Mac Pro & my Hydra modded HVX.
Wont be too long now at all!!!

If that price range is correct, and the 32 mb cards hit at the end of the year, that will be fantastic:thumbup:
 
Wow...wow. I am so freakin happy right now. I was reading whispers of a $1600 price tag, which would have steered me to buy several more 8gb cards. Man, a good day to check the forum. Sony announces their new solid state variable frame rate camera, and a $900 price tag for 16gb P2. I wonder if the 2 announcements have anything to do with each other.
