Just got the brevis on Friday. We are shooting a short with it in two weeks so we wanted to mess around and get accustomed to it. Just a goofy little snippet thrown together with the couple shots we got. Unfortunately we forgot to turn on the motor (dumb mistake) in a shot or two but it’s only noticeable towards the center of the frame where you can see a bit of the ground glass. All in all, we were very impressed with the brevis. A great piece of machinery.

two files to choose from. the avi file is full rez and the .mov is a bit smaller (couldn't get the .mov to work for myself though). Anyway enjoy!

we used one overhead light with a diffuser on it, the rest was available light. Really not that much. We were surprised with how well it did with the little light we had

ennfurno, I can see where you think the brevis/lense is causing the vignetting effect. It is actually the lighting...especially the dartboard shot. We have a light above it that wasnt so bright so you get the lit dartboard with falloff..looking like vignetting. If you check a couple of the other shots with the lamp inthem, you can tell there is no vignetting (the shadow of the lamp shades curvature may look like some as well but its just the lamp shade).

ifownlee......get it, great camera....this setup makes going out and shooting anything fun. I feel like I am 12 again when I used to pick up a super huge vhs camcorder and make little movies at the spur of the moment. I see a powerseller with a decent rating on ebay selling hvx brand new for 3600.....not sure what others think about going that route on the forum....but It is tempting.

Read the where to buy an HVX thread on the general discussion section. It will tell you about all the dangers of buying from these "low cost" non-authorized dealers.
