Fashion Model Runway Show

I had this opportunity to shoot a runway show for a local modeling agency. Now I couldn't turn that down! The club was pretty poorly lit, as always. They were reluctant but I setup a 250w key light at the end of the runway and a 500w spot on the side of the stage. It wasn't enough light to cover everywhere but anymore and the ambiance would have been gone for the live spectators. I shot everything flat. My A camera was my trusty DVX100b and my B camera was an old Sony Handycam (I'm not raking in the dough yet) This was a quick job so I used some magic bullet looks and tweaked if needed. I used "LS Film stock No 85" and some white diffusion. I'm pretty happy with what came out. I think it looks sexy. The music was a requirement from them. They have a relation with the artist.

Nicely done. You're right, it has a very "sexy" feel to it all. Liked the editing. Even thought the B camera was lower quality, it ended up working very well. Loved the editing.

Good job.

I find it funny how they're reluctant to put more light though.

Thanks for the kind words Jon. It was a last minute thing and I had to have some footage to cut to. I told my B camera guy to be more daring with his shots and I was going to keep the DVX footage pretty calm. He ended up getting a lot of butt shots from his angle but I didn't really want to use them... too dirty :)

i loved the editing the lighting could have been a little better but hey you got the job done........... its work like this that gives me (a beginner) hope...... good job.

Trust me, I'm a total beginner too! I get so nervous but if you act professional, they have no idea you're winging it.
