Christian-Themed Screenplays

Hi!

I am looking for Christian-Based/Themed screenplays. Maybe something along the lines of Thr3e (movie based on Ted Dekker's novel). But I don't really care the genre. Just something with Christian morals or a Christian theme. Thx.

Also, do you want to show these 'morals' in a positive light, or a negative light? Two very differnt movies.

No negativity was intended.

Fact is, all religions have an infinite number of interpretations. A 'christian based theme' is far too broad of a request.

Are you are looking for something along the lines of Touched by an Angel, or The Apostle?

Are you looking for fire and brimstone, or quiet reflection?

Christian projects have a very easy time right now getting presale monies and advances from foreign sales and video/cable sales.

You're on the right path. Get at least one recognizable name in it, tv caliber if fine, and you're set for what I'm assuming is a first project.
 
What are you looking for in terms of length? Feature? Short? Specifically a thriller? or open to other genres?

(I don't have anything at the moment, but thought it might be helpful information...also if its just a short you're looking for, I might be able to write something for you).
 
I am looking for anything at this point!!! I am desperate!!! LOL.

Length: I am interested in both features and shorts.

Genre: I would like action or thriller, but I am open to ANY genre.

Brandon: So man, that's awesome that you wrote and directed Smuggler's Ransom. Heard about it on Vision Gate Film. But anyway, if you have any Christian scripts, PM me. And if you have any Christian action scripts, PM me twice. lol.
 
Hey, I wrote something short about a catholic priest once... But lost the script... I'll never make the movie... But if you want me to give u the concept... and ya like it... I'll re-write it for credits (since I have none heh)

Glad you got a chance to check that out! Right now we're working on a non-Christian (but dealing with supernatural powers) feature script, and an adaptation of the 2nd novella in the To Die and Live series (Smuggler's Ransom was the first novella).
 
This really is awfully broad. I mean, is a Catholic theme a X-tian theme? By religion yes, but if you ask the average Evangelical in this country, they'll say "no".

I'll call a friend who once wrote a script which as far as I know was never filmed, to see if it's available. The theme was Catholic though.
 
Best thing I can say is rent "Facing The Giants". That's the type. But I want Biblical principles underlying an action flick. Short or feature.
