is there any DVX market in southern California?

I have been looking to buy a dvx100 on ebay and noticed DVX100 prices are
pretty unpredictable. (from $1500~2000). why would anyone buy 100p paying $2000 ..??
my budget is $1600 and I'd like to do some research myself by visting REAL stores if I can find any used ones. but It seems like there is no place I can get dvx in San Diego..or LA

Can anybody give me a hint where I can find used dvxs in Southern Cal ?

Only market I know is on craigslist.org and tthey want more than $1600. You should look at spending around $2000.

What camera did you have before? If this is your first maybe consider HV20? Cheaper 24p and HD. It isn't as professional as the dvx but it depends on what you need it for.
 
Craigs List is going to be your best bet. I was in the same boat as you and the only used ones I could find was on Craigslist. You could also try hitting up different art schools and seeing if they are trying to get rid of some their 100a's and upgrading. Its worth a shot. But if I was you, I would just save my pennies and get a new one, nothing like that brand new 0 hour 100b!:beer:
