Firestore 100 frozen--Aaargghhh!

I'll rant later, but for now--our brand new FS 100 (after one day of use and testing) is frozen up on the "Welcome to FS Please Wait" screen. Can't reformat, doesn't appear on the Mac desktop.

Clearly, we won't be starting shooting tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this kind of seizure, and if so, was there some solution. The only way to get the FS to turn off is to actually take out the battery.

There's nothing in the documentation to help with this, and of course, their technical support left the MN office 25 minutes early. Thanks folks!!!

I had the same problem with my FS100, mine would also just hang while filming, which in turn corrupted all my footage for that take.
I had to then take mine back to the dealer, he found that it was a problem with the micro chip and only Focus can work on it.
I would suggest sending it back so that they can get you a replacement as soon as possible, the risk is to high to try on shoot on it.

I had the exact same problem with my firestore!!!!
Mine froze up as i was about to start shooting a short and had to shoot on DV..
have you tried doing the system reboot?

if that still doesnt work take it back to the dealer who replaced mine there and then and sent the faulty one back to focus!
