Hi,

I have come across a seller who is selling a DVX as

"DVX100A PAL Version"

As I understand it the DVX100A PAL version is a DVX100AE? Or if you are living outside the U.S and want pal it's DVX102A.

When I questioned him whether it's a DVX100AE he is unsure. Just wondering if there is such a thing as a DVX100A PAL version without the "E" indicator?

Thanks

Robert

Dude, i would stay away from ebay. I almost got stuck w/ a grey market cam. There is a STICKY posted somewhere (I believe in the "Latest News" section) about where to get your cam. If someone doesn't know what they're selling it doesn't matter how good his claims are.

Pal cam does not know where it is used, and PAL is not illegal in USA, so no problems on that front.

Of course you can not show PAL video material on NTSC televisions... That might present a problem to you.

There IS a DVX100A PAL, however it MUST have the E in the name. No E, no PAL. Plus the guy who was selling this is from Australia, which, last time I've checked was PAL, so I think he was right in his claim. A bit too late, though, the auction it's finished.

I own 2 DVX100AEs, indeed, they are PAL versions. If someone has them to sell they should at least be able to check on the manual they have with it for a start !

The different descriptions can be confusing though. I've heard the HVX referred to as an HVX200 and an HVX2000...

my PAL cam is called dvx100AE. but i've seen around other cams called "102". as far as i know, these are asian stocks. but they prob perform OK. just be careful with warranty.
