Hello All,

We are proud to announce the East Coast P2 HD Clinic being held on May 22nd, 2007 at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. You get to meet the Panasonic pros, the Grass Valley pros, and the Spec-Comm pros, all in one day! We will even have a mixer in the evening so that we can talk to everyone in a more relaxed setting. You don't have to be local to visit us either. It's being held in the Marriott Hotel and we have special room rates just for those who would like to come from afar!*

You will have an opportunity to test out the AG-HVX200P, AJ-HPX2000P, P2 Store, P2 Mobile, P2 Drive (PCD20), BT-LH2600WP 26" LCD, BT-LH1700WP LCD and even a special sneak peak at the AG-HPX500P. Grass Valley will be showing the Canopus Edius Broadcast NLE Software.

I will be there as well and so will Art Aldrich, who was part of the Panasonic Iditarod Team. He was our "secret weapon, " fast and awesome editor and boy does he have workflow tips, if only you can get your camera guys to do it. ;-) You can see Art's work under the video section of www.panasonic.com/iditarod

Perhaps a little, however, Canopus Edius Broadcast is primarily going to be featured. During the evening mixer or at one of the breaks, you can catch the speaker for Grass Valley. His name is Mike Downey. He is well versed in all of the NLE software platforms that are Panasonic Partners. Look him up when you get there! :) I'm sure that Art can talk you through FCP as well. They're both great guys!

am i seeing this right? Its free? Just have to pay travel and hotel? Also, I`m not huge on tech talk, honestly it confuses me, I`m much more hands on, if I see it and do it I get it, will it be worth going for me?

It will be free. Just register. If you would like to stay at the hotel that the Clinic will be held at, please make arrangements for your room before April 29th so that you get a special discount.

You will have hands on time so enjoy! :)

Plus this is in the Inner Habor of Baltimore, and that in and of itself is a real treat! Very pretty area and lots of great restaurants, and if you like crab cakes this is the place to eat them.

I'm really looking forward to Grass Valley/EDIUS being there. v4.5 is on the way, and it is supposed to be a pretty major overhaul to the interface. Wish I could be there to see it in person... :(

I got to take a look at Edius v4.5 ALPHA at NAB and it's nice. A whole new look to the interface and some great new tools. It should be alot more solid by the end of May. I also got to meet Mike Downey and he is great! He knows NLE editing like the back of his hand. A great resource.

Yes, I guess from the schedule on your site it's pretty obvious that Edius will be the focus. What's with the afternoon schedule? Is it just a repeat of the morning? And is that really "Equipment Demons" as the title?!

Hey, Andrew. Glad I caught your post. Thanks for letting me know. I am really looking forward to the 4.5 upgrade. I think it should be a good indicator of where GV is taking EDIUS with v5 and beyond.
