What were those gadgets Barry?

I was looking on the panasonic website at the Iditarod dogs races and P2.There was footage of one of the camera men and there seemed to be an attachment underneath the HVX camera which seemed to be a handle /trigger combo which reminded me of the old super 8 days.Is this what it was or did it have an even more mysterious function(remote controlling the dogs perhaps!)

Those would have been the Anton Bauer Elipz batteries. There was one of the crew that brought his own FigRig, and then there were a couple of shots that has the Porta-Brace Polar Mits, but the only thing I remember being under the cameras were the Elipz batteries from AB.

Best,

Agreed, that's the only thing mounted under the cameras. There were some Egripz supplied by Anton Bauer as well, but I don't know if anybody used 'em. I'm pretty sure that's it, but it doesn't sound like what you're describing, so... if you don't think it's the Elipz or that we're not remembering it right, can you point out what video you saw it in? If we saw the picture maybe we'd be able to more accurately answer...

Didn't they make a handle that went under those batteries that was flexible and could be bent into an upside down "U" shape? Maybe that's what they saw.
