A Fight To A Movie I'm Doing

This is a lightsaber fight for a star wars fan film i'm doing. This is just one of the fights with out lightsabers. I'm working on the sabers right now. You can hear me say "cut" in some parts because it's raw footage. It's not good quality so you may want to hit the resize button. But enjoy the fight.

Looks pretty good. I suppose you're Swedish, since you make clips for films, and not to them, and that you make movies, you don't do them, as you would have said in Swedish.

But as I said, it looks good. Just add the glowing sabers and all the other various effects you might need, and it'll look awesome.

Pretty good, but at times it seemed a bit too flashy. Also needs some tighter cutting at the begining. They atack, then pause, attack, then pause. Although this is how it really happens IRL, it just felt a little bit unnatural, like you didn't cut it tight enough. If it was supposed to be a pause, then perhaps more of a pause is required.

It's really hard to tell without the final effects or any sound effects, but at one or two points it made me stop and think "what are they trying to hit?" At 0:24 it looks like he's just leaning back and swinging his lightsabers wildly (obviously a bit nicer than that) but seems like he's doing nothing. He's not even close to his opponent. No one's trying to hit each other, just hitting their sticks. Then at 0:29 it looks as if he's trying to stab 3 times in the direction of the camera, while his opponent is standing still to the side. If it was one stab and the opponent moved out of the way and redirected the hit, and then the second time his stab is in the direction of the opponent, it would make more sense. 0:47 although a bit beter, it still looks like stick bashing. No one is going for the other, looks like you're just going for each others lightsabers.

But aside from all of that, it was very nice. Looks like lots of fun (the whole point of doing a fan film). Costumes aren't bad. Obviously the fighters seem to have some skill and the fight looks impressive.
 
thanks, and yeh I saw that myself that some parts were like a pause. But once I get the sabers edited and everything else that is needed it's going to be a big change and look alot better than what you are seeing now. And I will for sure post that up when that is edited. Plus it's going to be at night time so I will be putting the night effect in.. so that may increase it by making it look better. But other wise thanks for the critiquing.
 
Are you going to make the lightsabers have a glow on their skin at night? Sounds interesting. Hope to see the final product. I'm assuming there's more to the film?
 
Yes, I will be adding lightsabers in after I add the night effect in. And yes there is more to this. If you watch it at 0:03 you see the sith/bad guy looking away. He is looking down at the jedi's master because he killed him. So really there is a fight we still need to film that happens before this fight happens.
