Hey dudes!
Now you have the opportunity to get to know my home even more, this time the inside as kitchen and livingroom and amazing subjects like chairs, doorknobs, hummer toy-car and even myself(which is out of focus). I'm still prepping for my upcoming shoot and testing different lenses and adjustments. The upcoming film will be shot all handheld and mostly natural lighting, and I'm starting to achieve the look I am going for(even though the DOF is crazy shallow at times).
The combo is dvx-100/sgpro rev.2/various pentax lenses and upressed with instantHD and exported as 724x406, 73mb, h.264 .mov. 2 min.
No CC.

Holy crap... nice footage! The shallow depth is incredible.

I need to get one of those.

The uprez looks nice too. Great work!

Nice footage! I'm a sucker for natural light. It was cool to see some zooming as well with the still lenses, I don't think I've seen test footage of that before.

I plan to join the legion of SGPro owners pretty soon now...

Wow Smettli - I am loving your footage - I'm going to put a link to SGPro forum - hope thats okay - more please

PS - just caught your film Blind Hatred - very nicely done and well acted - the last shot is hysterical (I laughed for two mins straight)

It reminds me of the cinemek footage of that guy that went on holiday, but then without the warm color tint (which could be easily added in post). Did I mention that I'm ordering this adapter? :)

hey that was refreshing.
nice

what is the name of the song u used?

the adapted footage looked great.
thanks for the post

Thanks for the replies!
Jamestmather, put the link where ever you want, it's for the people :) Glad you liked the ending of blind hatred, haven't thought of that one in a while.
The song is titled "memorial" by Explotions in The Sky.

You can't go wrong with the sgpro!

very nice footage. love the contrast and colors. im expecting my sgpro soon, can you share your dvx settings you use for your footages?

My dvx-100 setting are pretty much standard f6 scene file away from: "gamma: Normal", "detail: -4", "master ped: -8". That's pretty much it :)

wow!detail -4?im getting really impressed with the sgpro. i always thought(from what ive read on this forum and from experience using a homemade adapter)that it is necessary to increase camera detail when using an adapter.this really goes to prove that the sgpro is sharp as hell! cant wait to get my hands on mine, hopefully in two weeks time.thanks for sharing.cheers!

the area that is out of focus.

This depends on the lens and the focusing screen used.

Generally the less light an adapter loses, the more hazy the bokeh. When you use a GG that loses more light, you get a much more pleasing, circular bokeh.

look up the word to understand more.

Thanks for the tip about the detail setting, I actually didn't know that. I'll try increasing the detail next time I shoot :)

Scotman: You should try zooming in on the GG some more, you've got some serious vignetting going on.
