"The Faithful" Trailer, now online - HVX + M2

Hey guys,

Thanks for your continued interest. This has been one crazy year.

The film is completely finished and has indeed been picked up by the DV Film Festival in Hollywood. I believe that is an open screening (though please don't quote me on it) and would be a great opportunity to check out the film. Our "premiere" screening didn't materialize due to financial setbacks, so this will probably be the best way to catch the film on the "big screen." In addition to seeing the film, there will also be a Q&A afterward with the Director, the Producer, and myself in attendance for anyone who would love to get some more insight about any process of the making of this movie.

While the film itself is entirely finished, the DVD is not yet ready as some of the supplemental features have not been completed. A few other projects have surfaced and all of the filmmakers on "The Faithful" have been very busy juggling everything at one time. I don't know yet when the DVD will be done, other than the fact that it will be done as soon as possible and it will be very nice when it is finished (a dual-layer disc with a lot of extra goodies). I haven't posted here for awhile as the DVD isn't ready yet, but we certainly haven't forgotten any of you or the project itself. Sometimes these things just drag on longer than we'd like.

Anyway, yes, that festival is the first public showing of the film as far as I know and it would be lovely to see as many DVXUsers there who are interested in this movie. It would definitely make our evening to see an interest in what we have created. :-)

Thanks again,

Häakon

Hey Haakon. I would really like to have a DVD of this film, can you help me, how can I get it. Trailer looks like a normal proffesional film, lighting is great, you pulled out capacity of hvx200.

I also wanted to re-announce (now that I'm 100% sure!) that there will be a screening of the film, this coming Monday, March 26, at the Fairfax Cinema Theater in Hollywood, CA. As part of the film festival, the movie will be shown in a block along with three other shorts and the screening begins at 9:30PM. Tickets are free, but first-come, first-served, so anyone interested may want to get there around 9PM. There will be a Q&A following the screening with the director, Jacob Chase, the producer, Ethen Adams, and the director of photography (myself). It would be fantastic to see/meet some fellow DVXUsers there, and I am sure you will have the best questions about the film anyway. :-) Anyone who can make it, we'd love to see you!

The address for the showing is:

7907 Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA. 90048

I haven't read all the comments, but ...

I loved the whole concept, and the filmig was excellent. As a writer, I am a firm belieiver you have to have a good story to start with, not just great camera skills.

You obviously had a great script, and interpreted it beauitfully.

AHt off.

I checked out the main page you posted in the first post, but all I see is a nice clean graphic of the title & nothing more. Is there a place to access the trailer for this, or any other visuals?
