What spurned it was the fact that it's so expensive to rent a studio for a few hours. We wanted to do some shooting against one next Sunday but it's not in our budget. My roommate doesn't care, I could easily paper the walls.

It just sounds like it'd be a better investment.

Anyone know where to get good chroma green or chroma blue paper?

I'd go with chroma green.

My room was that colour for awhile.

This is pretty much the only picture i have from it. The greenscreen didnt come in
quite as handy as i imagined, but I was alot more happy with it than this would
leave you to believe.

And i'm not high or anything....i'm just a depressing person

Yeah I'm going to do it. Just deciding on which color would be fine. Here's an interesting thought:

Paint VS paper VS Muslin/Fabric? I mean, which one would be better for a compact room? I brought the greenscreen fabric home this weekend from work, and I find that it's rather reflective. What type of chroma green or blue fabric should I be looking for?

Also: Color. Does it HAVE to be green or blue? What about that horrendous orange color? Has anyone done any keying with that?

Orange will be dificult to key from skin, as skin is rather orange.

It's generally best to stick to one of the primary colors of light. As there is a lot of Red in skin, it leaves Blue and Green. Green is generally less compressed in video, but your final color choice also depends on if the foreground might contain one of the foreground colors. (If you want to shoot Superman in his blue cape, then you'd need a green screen :) )

Good point. i forgot that people wear more blue clothing than green. LOL. Green it will be. Thanks Mikko!

Now what about material? I'm thinking that I could actually save myself a lot of trouble and do seamless paper deal. It also costs less and, correct me if I'm wrong, should be a lot less reflective. I'd also look into doing a fabric setup with the same premise, creating a seamless wall. I might avoid paint just because of the hassle.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Normal? We don't need no normal!!! Cynic also brings up the need to create a "sweep" where the floor meets the wall. Which brings me to the conclusion that paper or fabric will definitely be the best solution. Being able to create the sweep without having to modify the wall or anything will be good.
