Hi,

Here is my second music video, now with some money, so I could rent some gear, crew, location, etc... :)
Everything was color corrected, stabilized and composed in Fusion, also there are some 3D effects done in XSI (softimage) and extra audio effects.
DVX100a was used.

It was shoot very well and I can only hope to get that kind of quality out of my DVX and a good job on the FX's too but dude I dont want to be a dick or anything but it was way too cheese for my taste.

Can you tell me how the shot with the guy on the mobile phone was done, was the cam on steadycam or shouldermounted?
The movement is shaky but still smooth...
 
I liked it, and liked the window composite and the good shatter FX. The main distraction I had was that the guitars were all unplugged...of course it's all fake-played for the video, but it seems like electric guitars without wires going somewhere are just too impossible to overlook--though they could all have wireless transmitters. The singer, on the other hand, looked like he was really singing on the steps--neck vein visible and all. Your actors did well in a familiar story.
 
Color correction in Fusion? What look were you going for? It looked like footage straight out of the camera

- Spartacus, the guy on mobile phone was handheld with OIS On.

- bherr, we thought about the cables and decided to assume the wireless transmission :)

- monte, I don't think the wmv with the small resolution can show the correct color for the shots, but I'll post some before / after CC pictures, anyway, I don't think a color correction must be so aggressive to work out.

Thanks for the BTS photos, looks like you had a J.L Fisher and nice set of Arris with you :D That "giant softbox" is pretty clever.
 
Yes, that "giant softbox" was there to record the band guys / actors in a white BG to apply in the glasses, but the DP decided to use it for light diffusion as well, we had 2 sizes there.

hi,

I used an animated mask around the girls, just a few keyframes and applied some light rays over it (beams, not so visible in the internet clip :) and reduced the color using a ghost effect... posting a compositing screenshot for that scene:
