Jeskid :)

didn't watch the whole first episode, but what i did see was AWESOME!
Really interesting idea, and the score was PERFECT!
my only suggestion is to maybe colour the video portions a bit? what seemed like typical colouring i think could add to the dramatic feel... just a thought
essentially it kicks ASS thought!!!

Thanks man!

I used the basic stock lens and the steadicam merlin for a lot of shots. Did some color correction in AVID xpress pro HD (best I could), but other than that - nothing was added.

The full movie comes out in episodes - the first two of which are available now (one in flash - one paid for download for a whoping 1.99!)

Trying to do something a bit different in distribution if I can :)

You said that you used the steadicam merlin. I was told that it could only hold 5 pounds. If you put more weight on the hvx200, does the steadicam merlin still works?

It works - you need to fully load it with the weights and not and anything to the hvx but the cards - no tape. But it's HEAVY!

For those that are interested - we released Episode three :)

There are previews on the site and just wanted to say as always - thanks everyone for the support - tis awesome to know people give a s**t :)

great job brother... keep it up. pitch it to television companies ( I think you could definately get picked up and do it on a larger scale ) nice work.

I really love the idea of this, and the idea of how you're pushing it forward.

But honestly, I didn't find the storytelling in the first episode that compelling. And I really wish the previews actually told me something about the next episodes. Right now, they don't actually tell you anything.

But definitely keep rolling with it. I look forward to seeing what happens with it.

Ok, I would totally have bought episode 3 but I can't get over the "reality" look, if your going for dramatic, I feel you REALLY need CINEMA visuals, it's what our mind is used to seeing not reality handheld deep DOF and no lighting. score is GREAT..lock it off, shoot it like a movie. color time it! awesome idea! I would ask you about working with us for distribution but I don't feel it's at the level it could be! keep at it, I know what it takes and you guys are really close!

Thanks guys. Our team is often pretty small (*cough* me) when shooting so sometimes I get what I can.

What's important to me is pushing the story foward and getting it all in a format that people can see (aka making sure the whole thing gets done).

I of course respect anyone or any crew that can give their story a Hollywood level look - but as far as this one is concenred - I'm pretty happy so far with how it's all coming out.

Thanks to all for the kind words. Woot!

-Jes :)

For those that are interested - Episode two is now free to view.

As Ep1 is more of a prologue - I felt this better represents the tone of the rest of the seires.

Cheers (always wanted to say that)!
