Hey I'm very new to using Avid in fact the only thing I really know how to do it splicing, and using the color effects. I had a trailer for one of my first shorts uploaded to the comp, edited in another program (Windows Movie Maker), So i imported it to AVID FREE DV to play around and try to learn how to use it. I really only Color corrected it. I then exported the final piece "Fast - Export Quicktime NTSC" for playback on my comp. but when I play it back its so distored you can hardly watch it. Can anyone help me on how to fix this problem? Thanks alot.

Because this export setting uses Avid Codec. Go to Options in Export As... tab and untick "Use Avid DV Codec".
External players can't play .mov-s with Avid codec well but Avid imports such files quicker.
