Is there a way to have 12 fps and let in twice the light?

Hi! The topic is a bit diffuse. I'll explain:

I've modded my settings so I could use the 2fps setting. It all went well. But then, I bragged to my friends about having the opportunity to shoot 2 frames a second, AND this way do almost totally dark cinematography. THEN I tried getting some moon shots, and to my big surprise the 2 fps mode doesn't let in any more light than standard 25P? I was SURE that I saw the camera go way more light-sensitive when used with fewer frames... But am I dreaming? I can't get back the low-light mode anymore.

Hope you understand the question, but probably it's just me working too late too often :violin:

thanks in advance

It does, you just have to set your shutter speed to syncro-scan. Doing that will boost your sensitivity enormously, and you can double it again by setting the syncro scan speed to 350.0 degrees.

yea its nuts.... i was shooting today infact, with the HVX in 2FPS, with a 350 degree shutter, and the 35mm Adpter Lens iris at F11, the HVX iris was at F5.6 with 1/64th ND on.

ah thanks guys :) "today: the earth... tonight: the moon!" (you can quote me on that) :)
